Forest Bathing in Francis King Regional Park

What we’ll do

I will guide you through my favorite trails in Francis King Park, offering ways to increase the connection between yourself and nature. Experience the natural life of the Pacific Northwest among beautiful Cypress, Douglas Fir and Maple trees. Francis/King Park contains some really beautiful pockets of old-growth and second-growth forest.

We will draw upon meditation and mindfulness practices, as a way to slow down our thinking minds.

There will be given a guided meditation with advice on how to stay present and mindful through the experience. We will alternate between walking silently and taking breaks as needed, in order to make our experience as rewarding as we can. This will be an easy hiking experience, as our intention will be to slow down and be more attentive in order to take in more through our senses.

What else you should know

Bring water and food as needed. Wear comfortable clothes according to weather conditions. Wear extra layers, as we will be outside for several hours, and bring rainwear if there is a chance of rain.

Transportation from downtown Victoria can be offered 30 minutes before starting time, free of charge :-)
